News and Announcements
Hi everyone. This certainly is not the announcement that I wanted to be putting out, but this week, one of the staff members tested positive for the corona-virus. Due to that, we are taking steps to make sure that everyone else is safe. We will not be holding a practice until December 22, our last practice before Christmas and then will resume normal practices the following week, barring anything else happening. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms please go get tested: fever or chills, runny nose, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath or trouble breathing, fatigue, muscle aches, headache, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, and especially for the girls – loss of smell or taste. If you are having any symptoms, please quarantine until you are able to get tested.
This is serious, so stay home if you can, wear a mask when you have to go out, social distance, and please please please keep your hands washed. If you feel you need to get tested, wait until Thursday of this week to go as it can take 7-10 days for symptoms to show up – Novant Health in Mt. Airy is doing rapid tests the address is 2133 Rockford Street Suite 1400 and the phone number is 336-719-6100. Since they are one of the only places around here doing rapid tests, there is a wait time involved, so go early on in the day if you can.
If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to contact me at 276-733-4323. We are doing all that we can in this unpredictable time to keep everyone safe. I miss you guys and hope that everyone is staying healthy and safe.
Please be sure to sign up using the google doc so we have all of your information. It stream lines things for us a little more. That needs to be done this week. Also, get the word out about the younger teams, tell your friends/other parents about it. We are trying to build up numbers in the CCHS volleyball program again through club. If parents have questions about the younger teams, they can direct any questions to me at email@example.com or to Kimmie.
In accordance with the school’s policy & recommendations from USAV, we are suspending all practices for the next 2 weeks. We will re-evaluate on March 30th. Everyone please stay healthy.
17s, we will keep you updated about the Maroon & Orange tournament on March 28 & 29. As of now it is still on.
Please try to do something active every day. We want you to be ready when we are able to attend practice & tournaments.
We will be taking up club apparel orders this week for anyone that wants one. This is what the front of the shirts will look like and the back will list our sponsors. The short sleeve, long sleeve, and hoodies will all have the same design on the front. The sweatpants will be black with “Rampage” down the side of one leg. We will have an order form on Tuesday & Thursday at practice. Please be ready to pay for your items when you place your order. Here are the prices of each item:
Short Sleeve T- Shirt $10.00
Long Sleeve T- Shirt $15.00
See everyone at practice tomorrow!
Just a reminder that we will be having a fundraising tournament on February 29th. There has been a Facebook event created through our club’s Facebook, Twin County Volleyball Club. We will have a rec division (for those with minimum volleyball skills) and an open division (for those with advanced volleyball skills). If a girl gets a team together (of people that are not already players in our club) then the entry fees from that team goes directly towards that girls club fees. If you have any questions, please ask your coaches.
Please let Kimmie, Coach Edwards, or Maleah know if you have a team together for the tournament as soon as possible!
We will be having a silent auction and concessions for the day of the tournament. There is a donation letter in the document section of our teampage to ask for silent auction items. We will need parent volunteers to help with concessions at all 3 playing sites during the tournament (Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church, CCHS, and Hillsville Elementary School).
